Rick Bailey

J.D., MAcc, CFP® · Wealth Strategist

Designs the plan. Camas exists because he kept meeting households whose advisors were each excellent and none of them accountable for the whole.

About Rick

Rick founded Camas Advice and designs the plans the practice runs. He holds a Juris Doctorate, a Master's degree in Accountancy with an emphasis in taxation, and the CFP® certification: a combination that lets one person hold the legal, tax and financial view of a household at the same time, which is the job a Wealth Strategist actually does.

His career has been on every side of that work: estate planning attorney, financial planner, and both Regional Marketing Director and Advanced Planner for a national life insurance company. That range is why the Camas model separates the person who designs a plan from the people who implement it: he has done both, and watched what goes wrong when one person is asked to do them at once.

He works with private clients on advanced estate planning and case design, and with the CPAs, attorneys, advisors and insurance professionals who bring him the cases their own toolkits cannot reach.

Writing and speaking

He has been explaining this for a long time

Rick has written and presented extensively on business planning, succession, income tax strategy for closely‑held businesses, asset protection, buy‑sell agreements and wealth preservation: largely to rooms of CPAs, attorneys and advisors rather than to consumers.

He also trains advisors in planning strategy, proposal and presentation work, case design and affinity partnerships. The Orchestrator model came out of that teaching: it is what he had been describing to other professionals for years, built into a practice.
